An exciting opportunity exists to be part of a team coordinating a massive collaborative research project including leading national and international experts on one of the most pressing issues of our time.Zero Carbon Britain is an alternative energy strategy for the UK to meet the needs of climate change and energy security through a just transition. It looks at how much we can decrease our energy demand sector by sector and how much we can increase the supply of renewable energy services across the UK. You will play a key role in facilitating our supporters to collaborate to the research project and help keep everybody up to date with the latest happenings.
Duties
Coordinating communications
Manage the review process of all six of our topic papers and our final report.
Manage invitations to our event.
Respond to and follow up offers of help generated from our website.
Provide administrative support
Desk top publishing
Type up notes from seminars.
Provide access to the research website for participants.
Minute weekly team meetings with action points.
Support the development of efficient project processes.
Manage expense claims and other administrative matters arising from events
Responding to enquires.
From the public for information
From staff for information or files.
Proactive communications
Update the website with content provided by interns, the research team and other CAT staff.
Organise monthly steering group meetings.
Follow up with all delegates to encourage continued project participation.
All Permanent Staff – Co-operative Duties
To attend a minimum of 6 monthly staff meetings per year (or such other number as may be agreed with the Management Group).
To consider issues presented to the staff body and be involved in the consensus decision-making process regarding such issues.
To input to policy development when policies are proposed by the Directions Team
To input to the strategy process when requested by the Directions Team.
To comply all CAT’s policies and processes as they are amended from time to time. To read and act upon policies and processes as they are approved.
To be responsible for own health and safety plus that of others as defined in the job description. To report to the Health and Safety Committee any matters of concern regarding health and safety.

Graduate or professional experience equivalent
High level of computer literacy, including all Office Suite
Excellent communication skills; phone, oral and written
Good interpersonal communication skills

Reliable and punctual
Desirable:
