Conservation Begins Here. America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks a Youth Engagement Coordinator at The Grand Teton National Park in Jackson WY. This is a 12 month position.
Primary Responsibilities: This position works in conjunction with Grand Teton's Youth and Diversity Coordinator on various youth initiatives within the park including the development and implementation of a new youth program, "An Introduction to Careers in Conservation." This position will be involved in the refinement of the Youth Engagement Initiative as a whole, with the intent of developing career ladder strategies to be used throughout the National Park Service. In addition, this role will be involved in local community outreach programming, particularly geared towards Jackson's expanding Latino community.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth and/or young adults
- 7-10 years work experience with demonstrated proficiencies in accountability and responsibility
- College degree preferred
- Supervisory experience (minimum of 3 years)
- Experience with community organization
- Ability to work independently without on site supervision
- Spanish fluency (desired)
- Organizational and management skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills needed
- Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
- Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
