Youth Education Team LeaderSalary from c£22,000 Three year fixed term contract (with possibility of extension) Based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester Do you have the skills and experience to lead an exciting stage in the development of the Vegetarian Society’s work with young people? This new post will lead a team of four working to bring vegetarianism into the classroom and supporting young vegetarians in a variety of contexts. The team includes a new Outreach worker (still to be appointed) who will focus on connecting the Vegetarian Society’s headquarters-based staff with schools and young people around the UK. You will need experience of working with young people and of supervising the work of others. You also need to be a committed vegetarian, in order to represent the charity and offer appropriate support and guidance to young vegetarians. Staff at the Vegetarian Society enjoy a strong sense of shared purpose and good working conditions, including flexi-time, 25 days holiday a year (plus public holidays) and a child care voucher scheme. This post is offered full time (35 hours per week) but applications to work on a flexible or job-share basis will be considered. Some travel, evening and weekend work is required.
