The Youth & Education Coordinator position encompasses the oversight of organizational youth based activities in North Carolina including, but not limited to:

 

  • Recruitment of new Varsity (high school) chapters and volunteers to the organization

  • Grow the organization’s Greenwing membership in North Carolina through the planning, promotion and oversight of large youth-based events

  • Increase awareness of Ducks University (collegiate) program and assist in recruitment of volunteers and members into existing chapters

  • Foster North Carolina youth programs through public education of Ducks Unlimited’s conservation mission

  • Serve as a liaison to organizational partners with an emphasis on hunter recruitment, hunter retention and hunter apprentice efforts

QUALIFICATIONS:   Applicants must have a minimum of a four-year accredited degree to apply for this position. Prior volunteer experience with Ducks Unlimited will greatly benefit candidates. Candidates should have outstanding communication, writing and organizational skills; ability to persuasively convey the mission of DU and be proficient in standard computer programs. The chosen candidate will be required to reside in the Raleigh/Durham area and office from their home.
