About Us:The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action. Role Profile:ZSL is seeking a Zoo Horticulturalist to support the Whipsnade Zoo Horticulture department in fulfilling the horticultural requirements of the site and optimising its potential. Specifically you will deal with tasks that engage and improve visitor experience, animal management, biodiversity conservation, and education, learning and research. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Please note: The successful applicant will need to be a good communicator, both orally and in writing, with experience of dealing with the public. Due to the nature of the role some tasks can be physically demanding and you will be expected to work outside in all weather conditions.
