WWF Cambodia is a country programme under the WWF Greater Mekong Programme, which includes also country programmes of Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. At least two of the WWF’s Global 200 priority ecoregions, the Lower Mekong Dry Forests and the Mekong River Ecoregion, are the priority conservation focus of WWF Cambodia. WWF Cambodia programme is implementing WWF Greater Mekong Programme Strategic Plan and other WWF International Initiatives including Tiger, Climate Change, Market Transformational, Forests Carbon, and China SHIFT.

 WWF Cambodia Programme Office is now seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Programme Manager, based in Phnom Penh. The Programme Manager is responsible for the planning, development, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WWF Conservation Plan within the context of the WWF Greater Mekong Strategic Plan.

 

The key requirements are:
  • University degree in conservation, environmental studies and/or natural resource management, master degree or PhD is preferable;
  • Knowledge of conservation issues and the policy/institutional context in Cambodia and the wider Greater Mekong Region;
  • 5 to 7 years experience working at the programme management level, 3 years of which should be in the Greater Mekong Region (preferably Cambodia);
  • Extensive experience in managing programmes funded by a diversity of sources including governments and aid agencies, private sector donors;
  • Successful fund raising experience;
  • Strong strategic planning, leadership and management skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and local language;
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
