BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma and 1 year related experience. 
• Experience in customer service.
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with the Conservancy's Auto Safety Program.  Employees may not drive Conservancy-owned/leased vehicles, rental cars, or personal vehicles on behalf of the Conservancy if considered "high risk drivers."  Please see further details in the Auto Safety Program document available at www.nature.org/careers. 

Employment in this position will be contingent upon completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement, which may include a review of the prospective employee's motor vehicle record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience recognizing plant and animal species.
• Physically able to lead hikes up to 10 miles in length through mountainous terrain at altitudes of up to 9,000’.
• Proven riding and horsemanship abilities.
• Experience in using and maintaining equipment, such as power and construction tools.
• Experience performing physical work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic first aid and CPR training. WFR preferred, but not required

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Residence on Preserve property may be required.
• Work requires occasional physical exertion and/or muscular strain.  Work involves several disagreeable elements and/or exposure to job hazard’s where there is some possibility of injury.
