WOODLAND PROJECTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER Rare opportunity to be involved in an innovative approach to help conserve some of the finest woodland in the country. You will play a lead role in a new approach to secure lasting improvements in the condition of ancient and other woodland and support the people, businesses and communities who will implement and sustain this recovery. Woodlands are one of the defining characteristics of the National Park and the surrounding landscape; working with a range of partners you will coordinate and deliver forestry-led activities which ensure these places fulfil their special cultural and economic potential. You will need the ability to create and communicate a strategic and integrated approach to woodland and landscape management, have a clear understanding of forestry and forest products, woodland conservation and the regulations and incentives to support these practices. You must be a confident communicator able to explain policies, decisions and procedures to a wide range of people, manage contracts, write bids and help secure additional funding for projects.
