Description

You’ll be responsible for processing Grants and Licences applications, providing guidance to woodland owners and managers and promoting forestry within the Central Belt to deliver the Scottish Forestry Strategy and Conservancy Business Plan. Duties include inspection of grant schemes, processing forest plan applications and responding to consultations regarding new developments.

You’ll have a HND or degree in forestry or a related subject, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and a driving licence that enables you to drive in the UK. Ideally you’ll have experience and an understanding of forest management and establishment. Also it would be advantageous to have experience of dealing with grant schemes, felling licenses and EIA regulations.
