Role Summary/Purpose: As a Wind Turbine Manufacturing Material Planner in GE’s Renewable Energy manufacturing division, you will drive on-time delivery of materials in support of multiple manufacturing sites. The position also takes ownership of Material Inventory levels, and interfaces with a cross functional team, including commercial, engineering, sourcing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
Essential Responsibilities - Monitor supply and demand misalignment and collaborate with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans
- Release material plan requirements to manufacturing sources
- Identify and react to material plans that do not meet customer requirements
- Execute planning and scheduling activities for assigned part numbers using Oracle planning system
- Coordinate with Master Scheduler to establish demand in Oracle for upcoming projects, coordinate plan for Shop Order Releases based on interaction with Operations and Materials Team
- Coordinate Project Bill of Material (BOM) / Configuration reviews and track changes through completion to ensure accurate Bills of Material
- Be responsible for maintaining comprehensive tracking program that consolidates New Product Introduction management, cut-in planning, and BOM releases to optimize configuration
- Be responsible for inventory management for assigned parts and processes required to ensure material input to support customer requirements while financial inventory objectives are accomplished
- Coordinate planning and scheduling activities for assigned commodity utilizing advanced planning tools to model, simulate, and release optimized material plans to the organization
- Apply appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service level, inventory, and resource utilization using advanced planning tools
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Materials or related field
