Wind Turbine Inspector

GL Garrad Hassan is recruiting a Wind Turbine Inspector to address the growth of demand for wind turbine inspections in Spain, Portugal and Latin America. The Inspection Services Group delivers technical inspections of onshore wind farms for various stakeholders in the wind industry (e.g. lenders, operators and insurance companies).

The successful applicant will take part of a team of four inspectors and will be responsible to execute inspections, managing subcontractors and delivering high quality engineering reports.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform the following inspections of onshore wind turbine:
• Visual inspections of tower and nacelle;
• Detailed inspection of machinery using video-probe;
• Blade inspection (cherry picker or rope access);
• Take oil and grease samples from various rotating equipments;
• Vibration measurements;
• Thermographs;
• Functional tests of various equipments.

• Prepare inspection reports.
•  Interface with customer to plan field work;
• Coordinate the work of inspectors and possibly several subcontractors;
• Contribute in improving procedures and aligning QSE system with other Inspection Groups across the GL GH Group.
• Liaise with other Inspections Centres across the GL GH Group.
