Role Summary/Purpose: The Wind Sales Manager will:
Essential Responsibilities - Create close working relationships with all key personnel at assigned accounts, and develop a thorough understanding of their power generation strategies and needs
- Provide commercial and technical assistance to assigned accounts with their power generation strategy
- Insure GE Wind products and services have a favorable consideration in all of assigned account’s power generation projects
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with assigned accounts and geographic territory
- Identify, understand, and communicate to the P&W business, customer issues which are critical
- Work effectively in a team environment with Commercial Operations, Technical Operations, Engineering, Finance, and OTR (order to remittance) to insure the most efficient use of all resources
- Integrate broader GE Energy products and services into both strategic and transactional activities and opportunities
- Assist with all of the above functions and responsibilities for opportunities beyond assigned accounts and geographic territory
- Participate in and support wind trade shows, conferences, and other market development activities
- Support and participate in additional GE and P&W activities such as Cross-Business Lead Sharing
- Maintain accurate and current project and opportunity information with the CMS system and manage the ITO (Inquiry to Order) process for assigned accounts
- Be accountable for orders, pricing / profitability, risk, terms & conditions, and customer satisfaction

Key measurements will include:

- Performance relative to assigned accounts and region orders, Margins and Cash Operating Plan
- Performance to Goals & Objectives (developed in cooperation with Region Sales Leader)
- Orders forecasting and CMS (or Salesforce.com) accuracy
- Quality and accuracy of “Strategy to Win” plan developed for Risk Reviews
- Demonstration of GE Growth Traits
- Support of other regional and GE initiatives
- Net Promoter Score Activities Participation and Improvement
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, and/or advanced business degree with a minimum of 5 years Wind or Solar Industry experience
- Proven track record (minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or completion of GE Sales Training Program with a minimum of 2 years Power Generation sales experience – GE employees only) in sales or development in the power generation industry
