Job description

The development department is looking to complement its team with the position of Wind Resource Analyst. WRA has an important function in the team since a correct assessment of the wind resource is the most important factor in a wind power project.
Your tasks are described as follows:

• Manage measurement campaigns (mast and SODAR)
• Analyze wind data and perform correlation between wind measurements systems and long term data
• Provide energy resource assessments and production calculations
• Optimize turbine layouts according to resources and constraints
• Make turbulence studies and suitability studies for choice of turbine model
• Drafting request for proposals and procurement of mast installations and relocations
• Managing the installation of wind measurement masts and SODARs at potential sites
• Manage service of measurement masts and SODARs
• Point of contact to external wind consultants
• Support the sales department

Job requirements

To fulfil this you will have the following experience and skills:

• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Graduate with a good engineering or physical science degree or equivalent experience
• Familiar with GIS software (Arcgis / Mapinfo / Globalmapper)
• Strong analytical skills and very comfortable with IT (Excel, VBA,…)
• Preferably experienced in Windpro / Wasp / Windfarmer / Openwind / CFD
