Are you interested in learning more about the Wind industry?  We're looking for current students passionate to learn more about Wind Operations.  Throughout the internship the candidate will gain exposure to operation and maintenance methods both in the field and in the office. Must be a flexible team oriented individual with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with a focus on safety. Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.  This internship is for our Klondike Wind Farm located in Wasco, Oregon. 
Duties to include:
  • Data entry and analyses
  • Turbine inspections
  • Inventory maintenance
  • Assisting operations and maintenance staff as needed
  • Maintaining project records and other administrative duties as assigned
Candidate will need to learn and adhere to on-site safety rules, and be physically capable to climb towers. 

We have flexible start and end dates between May and August but you must be able to work a minimum of 8 weeks. This position is full-time (40 hrs. a week).  Relocation, housing, benefits and expenses are not provided; 
Qualifications
 
  • Must be actively enrolled student.
  • Must be in good standing as a sophomore (or higher) with their college or university, OR have completed one year of a Technical Wind educational program.
  • Minimum of 3.0 grade average.
  • Proficient in the use of computer tools, ie. MS Office products.
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
  • The applicant must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual contributor.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of wind industry standards/best practices including document control processes. 
  • Any previous internship experience is a plus.

All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a references, a background check that includes an MVR report, drug screen, verification of legal right to work in the U.S., and a post-employment physical exam.
