Posted Position Title: Wind EHS Coordinator - Kansas Region

Role Summary/Purpose: The Wind EHS Coordinator for the Kansas Region will perform inspections of equipment, tools and facility for compliance with GE policy and Governmental safety and Environmental regulations. In this role you will lead a multi-classification Safety Team and provide safety and environmental training to others.
Essential Responsibilities - Conduct field compliance inspections at various wind farms in the service area on a frequent basis 
- Coordinate waste storage and disposal for the Service Center and at customer site where contractually obligated 
- Keep records, logs, training tracker, and reports accordingly 
- Operate equipment to verify operational safety, including but not limited cranes and fork trucks 
- Perform maintenance duties related to EHS needs 
- Lead a multi-classification Safety Team 
- Provide safety and environmental training to others 
- Perform related hourly duties as assigned and may assist or direct others 
- Actively participates in EHS Committees and calls 
- Lead incident investigations and drives closure of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) from incidents in the service area 
- Ensure that JSAs are up to date for all job activities within the service area 
- Update PowerSuites tools / data (i.e., ATS, Compliance Calendar, Incident Reports, Initial Report, OPS Metrics, and Training Tracker)
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or other related discipline 
- Minimum of 3 years of Wind Services Field EHS Coordinator experience 
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with safety and environmental regulations

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
Desired Characteristics - Proficient computers skills in Excel, Word, Web Tools 
- Ability to master Compass and Team Operating Procedures (TOPS) 
- Working knowledge of GE internal programs such as Power Suites, and SupportCentral 
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
