Posted Position Title: Wind Cost Analyst

Role Summary/Purpose: The Wind Cost Analyst is responsible for forecasting costs supporting $4B in sales. Primary activities include 1) develop best in class accurate estimating processes and procedures for commercial operations generating over 600 proposals annually 2) Provide clear understanding of product cost movement to leadership, 3) Develop comprehensive long term (GPB) competitive product technology (NPI) strategies with product line, engineering & global supply chain leadership.
Essential Responsibilities - Part of a team responsible for developing Wind ITO Cost Estimates to Commercial Operations in support of proposal activity 
- Work with Cross-Functional (Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing & Finance) Teams to establish budgets and report OTR Cost performance & analysis 
- Highlight actual cost variance to budget, identify root cause of variance and present recommendation for corrective action to leadership 
- Lead NPI (New Product Introduction) Cost Analysis & Tollgate Review for New Technology development. Evaluate and report business risk associated with the NPI 
- Aggregate Cost Data to business in support of Business Planning Sessions SII, OP, DR, and product cost handbook with detailed report out to senior leadership 
- Support Design To Cost (DTC) iterative team process rigor & controllership 
- Audit Direct Material & Labor Productivity (DMP) Projects for accurate product cost reporting and savings 
- Communicate product costs & support the development of product line growth strategies working with both Commercial & Product Line Teams 
- Work with Product Line& Engineering to understand competitor’s designs and evaluate competitor’s potential cost differences vs GE product
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or Manufacturing or related 5 years GE experience 
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance, Manufacturing, Sourcing or Engineering Environment

- Working Knowledge of Bill of Material Structure, COPICS / COSDOM, PLM (Dwg Systems), Pegasus, Oracle ERP 
- Ability to read and have a general understanding of technical drawings 
- Proven presentation and communication skills to management 
- Team player with proven cross-functional (Eng, Src, Mfg, Com'l, Fin) facilitation skills with the ability to influence others
