Description

This project offers a range of research and volunteer opportunities that promote the development of field work skills and research techniques, whilst providing an enjoyable and memorable African bush experience. The research programme includes: giraffe & vervet monkey ecology; bird identification and distribution studies; predator research (study of leopard, brown hyaena, jackal, African civet, etc); and small vertebrate studies (including small mammals, reptiles and amphibians).

The project also caters for independent researchers pursuing MSc and PhD degrees by offering a wide variety of study topics, a well-developed infrastructure and logistical support.

In their spare time participants can take part in a range of affordable adventure and leisure activities (e.g. game drives, guided hikes, etc).

The project costs £270 per month which includes comfortable accommodation, project supervision and support, use of all research facilities, and free internet access.
