Description

Wildlife photographers, film makers and documentary makers needed on the Andean Bear Conservation Project in Ecuador.  Photographs, films and documentaries of wild Andean bears are hard to find.  We don't even have much high resolution film footage or photographs of the Andean Bear Project, captive bears in rehabilitation or the human aspects of our work.  We need volunteer filmmakers and photographers to help us develop an image bank of spectacled (Andean) bear photos and films in order to publicise the bears' plight in the hope of saving them from extinction.  You need some experience in wildlife photography or filmmaking.

What we can arrange for you will depend on when you are here and what is happening at the time, but we would hope to take you to the páramo as well as the cloud forest, and possibly even arrange special access for you film or photograph captive bears.

This is a unique opportunity to add to your portfolio and photograph or film a beautiful part of the world well off the usual tourist trail whilst helping with wildlife conservation.  If you can get the shots we need, we will definitely promote them, and your name will be on them!

Minimum time commitment: two weeks.  For more information see http://www.andeanbear.org/film-photographer-volunteer.html .  Please quote reference SDWphSep10 when you apply.
