AMEC Earth & Environmental is seeking a Wildlife Biologist to join our office in Burnaby, BC

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct wildlife biology-related field work in urban and remote locations; including rare and endangered species surveys.
  • Prepare baseline reports, impact assessments, compensation/ SARA recovery plans, and permit applications.
  • Supervise project teams.

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in Wildlife Biology, with a Bachelors degree or Masters degree
  • Eligible for registration as RPBio.
  • Familiarity with RISC procedures.
  • Familiar with environmental permitting and approvals processes in Canada and BC.

Essential in:

  • Data Analysis
  • Report and proposal writing
  • Assessment and evaluation of terrestrial and wetland habitats
  • Environmental monitoring

Preferred experience in:

  • First Nations engagement
  • Public consultation
  • Regulatory Liaison
  • Mining or Energy EIA/ EIS
