Location: West Hatch Wildlife Centre, West Hatch, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 5RT
Closing Date: 30th March 2012
Salary: £15,035 -£15,715, plus shift allowance
Ref: VN/589/SSW/WHWC/FT – 35 hours per week (Over 7 day rota)

The RSPCA, the World's largest and oldest animal welfare organisation is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Wildlife Centre Team as Wildlife Assistant (Vet Nurse Qualified) at West Hatch Wildlife Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with British wildlife in all aspects of rehabilitation work.

The main responsibilities of the post include:

  • working as part of the rehabilitation team;
  • to contribute to high quality animal care; 
  • to help maintain good customer relations;
  • carry out veterinary nursing duties when required.

The successful candidate should have:

  • a veterinary nursing qualification;
  • a good standard of education;
  • sound literacy and numeracy skills;
  • good communication and interpersonal skills.

This post will involve working to rosters, including some evening and weekend work.
