RSPB Scotland is looking for someone to undertake and co-ordinate white-tailed eagle monitoring in Skye and Lochalsh through field survey and the recruitment, training and mentoring of a strong network of volunteers to assist with the monitoring programme. Increasing local understanding and awareness of the white-tailed eagle are key objectives of this post. Excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic, positive and organised approach are essential along with good ornithological field skills, lone working and team working skills. Education to degree level or equivalent, good IT and admin skills are required, along with knowledge of the environment and natural history of the west highlands. This is a 6-month seasonal contract.
