Bird Studies Canada seeks two to four (2-4) Wetland Bird and Frog Survey Technicians to conduct point count surveys in wetlands throughout southern Ontario. The final number of positions that will be filled is dependent on funding, which is currently pending. Under the guidance of the Ontario Program Scientist, each Wetland Bird and Frog Survey Technician will:

Please note that successful candidates will be required to obtain a satisfactory score on a challenging online marsh bird and frog visual and auditory identification test. As well, prior to doing field surveys successful candidates will be required to attend a mandatory one-day training session at Bird Studies Canada headquarters in Port Rowan, Ontario, although alternative arrangements are possible if excessive travel prevents attendance. Value of Term Contract $2,100-$2,500/month plus legal benefits depending on experience, plus transportation, accommodation, and food covered by the project during field work.
