Manage a team of solar sales consultants to achieve bookings and margin objectives for the region’s mid market and commercial markets.   Provide leadership and guidance on all aspects of selling commercial PV systems.  Execute sales strategies, continually develop the sales team and drive sales performance overall.  Build and manage long term key customer relationships/partnerships and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

 

        Lead the regional sales team of 12 or more direct reports to meet goals and objectives.
        Manage team to deliver plan of 30 MW.
·         Develop each solar consultant’s skill and knowledge.
        Manage the sales forecast accuracy.
        Conduct regular sales team meetings and pipeline reviews.
        Drive improvements in the sales process and organization to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of team.
        Interface with Legal, Finance, Sales Operations and the RFP team to support regional results.

 

 

Requirements

 

        5-10+ years progressive experience in commercial sales ideally with a PV integrator, high tech or construction industries.

 

        A minimum of three years of successful experience managing a sales team.

 

        Success selling PV systems and experience negotiating PPA and EPC contracts.

 

        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing a must; MBA degree preferred.

 

        Excellent leadership skills (player/coach) and the ability to work well in a team is essential.

 

        Competent in assessing customer needs, building relationships, and identifying sales opportunities.

 

        Ability to work independently with solid time-management and organization skills.

 

        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

        Presentation and demonstration skills also required.

        Must also have strong PC skills and experience with MS Office and CRM tools.
