OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION: Project Orianne is looking to hire a dedicated Web Content and Communications Coordinator to coordinate online communications and ensure our message is delivered on a global and domestic scale. The position is available immediately and will be based in Clayton, Georgia.

BACKGROUND: Project Orianne is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the global conservation of reptiles and amphibians and their associated habitat.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Web Content and Communications Coordinator will work with the Project Orianne staff, fulfilling a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

  1. Managing and updating content for website and all social media sites.
  2. Writing online content.
  3. Managing e-advocacy and e-education campaigns.
  4. Maintain multimedia applications for the website and all social media sites.
  5. Compile and distribute relevant news stories.
  6. Contribute to web graphics and multimedia production.
  7. Regularly compile web and email campaign analytics into reports.
  8. List Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Experience creating/developing online outreach and communication platforms for multi-tiered campaigns.
  2. Bachelor degree or pursuing a Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field.
  3. Excellent writing and communication skills.
  4. Familiarity with mass email production and Content Management Systems.
  5. Self-motivated, team player with strong people skills.
  6. Ability to innovate, prioritize and multi-task.
  7. Nonprofit and campaign experience preferred.
  8. Knowledge of conservation and/or reptiles and amphibians a plus
  9. Experience with public and media relations
  10. Graphic design experience/training, with excellent ICT skills
  11. Outstanding interpersonal skills
  12. Must have an interest in Project Orianne’s Mission.

COMPENSATION: This is a part-time term position with the potential to become full-time permanent. Pay is $1,000 monthly.
