Watershed Management Specialist, HARVEST Project, Cambodia Country Programme Fauna & Flora International Salary: USD 50,232 – USD 53,820 Start Date: As soon as possible Duration of contract: One-year fixed-term contract with potential to extend, subject to project need and funding availability Location: The position is based at Fauna and Flora International’s Phnom Penh office with regular travel to project sites in the Tonle Sap basin Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest-established international conservation organisation. We are currently working with the following companies: Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Eni E&P, Lafarge, British American Tobacco, Cargill, Holcim, BHP Billiton and many others. FFI is seeking a highly competent individual to provide technical specialist inputs to our watershed management activities under USAID-HARVEST in the Tonle Sap basin, Cambodia. The successful candidate will be experienced in watershed management practices in the developing world, with a minimum of four years’ experience in natural resource management, conservation, tropical watershed management, or a related sector. S/he will have an MSc, or equivalent level qualification, in a relevant discipline. S/he will have demonstrable experience engaging with government, corporate and local partners at all levels. Ideally the successful candidate will have good technical understanding of the challenges and opportunities of improving catchment management within tropical forest and The individual must have a commitment to working in partnership with national staff and local communities to address key environmental issues.
