Water/Energy Analyst

WRA seeks a Water/Energy Analyst to support the efforts of our Energy and Water Programs.  We advocate for renewable energy, energy efficiency, urban water conservation, and alternative strategies for meeting new urban water needs, with an overarching goal of reducing the region’s greenhouse gas emissions.  The Analyst will work directly with water and electric utilities, state and local governments, and the environmental community, and will advocate for policies that reduce the impacts of electricity generation and the development of urban water supplies.

Candidates should have excellent quantitative and analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and be able to work independently.  An understanding of Western water and energy issues is desirable; a personal commitment to a cleaner environment is essential.  A graduate or professional degree in environmental science, economics, public policy, or related disciplines, as well as 2 years of experience is desirable.  Some travel may be required.  Salary is comparable to regional non-profit organizations, with excellent benefits.  Location for this position is Boulder, Colorado.
