The incumbent will be responsible for watch and Ward at National Park areas of national park areas, APNP-AJK/MKKSNP-Punjab - Pakistan in the supervision of Supervisor and coordination withProject Manager, Karot BMP Implementation Islamabad Programme Office.
The incumbent will also be responsible for monitoring illegal mining/fishing/poaching/habitat destruction activities and coordination/collaboration with the Karot Power Company Limited and close Coordination with Project Manager, Karot BMP Implementation Project Islamabad Programme Office IUCN Pakistan. S/He will also be expected to prepare daily/weekly/Monthly watch & Ward reports and share with Supervisor, National Park Management Office.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Watch & Ward Tasks:
Patrol project areas and be on the lookout for illegal logging, sand/gravel mining, fishing and poaching activities;
Report to the supervisor and respective government line departments and inform them of any suspicious activity
Prepare daily patrol reports and inform supervisor
Facilitate social mobilizers in communicating with the local communities and schools for project activities
Any other tasks that are assigned by the supervisor from time to time
Networking And Representation:
Maintain coordination with Project Manager, Karot Hydro Power Project (Biodiversity Management Plan Implementation) Islamabad Programme Office.
Close collaboration/Coordination with project stakeholders including government departments, communities, schools, NGOs etc
Other Functions:
Carry out any other relevant tasks as required by supervisor(s).
