About the role

As a key member of the team, your role will be to promote waste prevention and recycling to the residents of South Gloucestershire; as part of a wide reaching and varied programme developed on behalf of our client, South Gloucestershire Council.  

Key responsibilities of the role include

Predominantly this will include delivering our education programme in schools, developing campaigns around specific topics, creating communications materials and supporting the contract’s operational services. The successful candidate will have a passion for the environment and the desire to make a difference. 

Qualifications and experience

You will need to be a natural communicator and have the confidence to stand up in front of a range of different audiences and build positive relationships with them and other key stakeholders. You will also be working with people at all levels, so you will need to be adaptable in order to communicate effectively with them. 

As a key member of the Waste Minimisation Team, you will need to have confidence in working with others, while at the same time being able to work on your own, as you will be responsible for your own projects and pieces of work. 

With such a varied role, good prioritisation and multi tasking skills will be essential in order to deliver excellent work on time and to the required standards. An understanding of the waste industry or experience in an educational or communications based role would be an advantage, but is not essential. A full UK driving license is essential for the role.
