Introduction to the role SITA UK is looking to recruit a Waste Minimisation Advisor to join our Waste Minimisation Team in South Gloucestershire.

About the role

Reporting to the Waste Minimisation Manager, the Waste Minimisation Advisor will be part of a dedicated programme aimed at influencing attitudes and behaviour in South Gloucestershire.  They will be responsible for managing and assisting the delivery of key waste prevention and recycling campaigns, focusing on key messages such as Love Food Hate Waste and reuse.  

Key responsibilities of the role include, developing key campaigns and projects, working within schools and the community to deliver key messages and providing a high level of customer service to both the client and the residents of South Gloucestershire.

The successful candidate will be a keen team player, who enjoys working with others to deliver projects on time and to the highest possible standards, but is also a forward thinker who is able to work independently.
   
They will be expected to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet work demands.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have a clear passion for the environment and the desire to make a difference.  

You must be an accomplished communicator who is able to effectively adapt according to circumstance or audience, with experience of planning projects and report writing.

The successful candidate must have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.

Candidates will require a full UK driving license and experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  They will also be required to successfully pass a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
