Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced adviser to provide technical support on all aspects of waste management across the operations and construction directorate in order to drive best practice and ensure legal compliance with all aspects of current UK waste management legislation. 

Providing a service to each management team, you will be responsible for:

• carryout specific environmental related projects where the business has identified a specific need
• develop training strategies for promoting waste management best practise
• identify and develop opportunities for the improvement of associated waste management procedures in order to drive efficiencies across the business. 
• conduct analysis of raw data in order to satisfy external statutory stakeholders and measure internal performance
• manage waste incentives in order to reduce associated costs. 

Ideally you will have:

• previous experience in a environmental / waste management role
• BSc / MSc in environmental science or similar
• sound communication skills including report writing
• significant knowledge of current EU / UK waste management legislation
• the ability to be effective in planning, organising and delivering new initiatives
• chartered membership of relevant professional body.
