Background:

Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) aim to lead and support the city in establishing itself as the UK’s Environment Capital - an exemplar of how to deliver truly sustainable growth in order to improve the overall quality of life of its people, communities and environment. We think sustainable development is the only option for the future. That’s why since we were founded in 1992 our work has helped create a cleaner, greener, healthier, more sustainable Peterborough – the UK’s Environment Capital.

Objective:

PECT is recruiting a project officer to work in its Communities Team. The project officer will work on the Warmer Homes project based in Huntingdonshire which is a partnership project between PECT and Luminus Group, bringing together a shared vision to end fuel poverty for social housing tenants in Huntingdonshire. The project funded by The ScottishPower Energy People Trust, will target families with young children and lone parents living in Luminus homes to help them to reduce their household energy consumption, increase household income levels and improve wellbeing. Over a 13 month period 1500 households will benefit from the project, receiving information through home visits, at community events and through a mail shot campaign. The post holder will work closely with Luminus Group and their staff to ensure the successful delivery of this role. This project will run for 13 months.
