JNCC and Welsh Government are establishing an exciting new position to represent JNCC in Wales and to ensure that JNCC work is fully aligned with emerging Welsh priorities. JNCC needs to respond to Wales’ desire to take a more integrated approach to the management of natural resources by adapting the services it provides. The placement of a JNCC post in Wales is a constructive response to this challenges and a means to ensure a strengthened and improved service and support to Welsh bodies. The post holder will have a good overall knowledge of JNCC and a more in depth knowledge of at least one of JNCC’s evidence functions. The post will be based in Welsh Government (WG) offices in Cardiff (other WG offices might be considered) and will involve working with Welsh Government, Natural Resources Wales and other Welsh bodies if required. The post is a two year appointment with the possibility of extension.
