Description

BirdLife Australia requires a well-organised Western Australia Program Manager to oversee the development and implementation of BirdLife Australia’s WA-based Projects, ensuring the outcomes are delivered on time and on-budget.

Reporting to the Head of Research, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the organisation’s Western Australian project portfolio. The program manager leads a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to addressing the key threats to Western Australian birds.

The position will also liaise with  the WA volunteer branch who are a valuable resource in the delivery of WA-based projects.

The role is critical to achieving the organisation’s goal of improving conservation outcomes for Australian birds by mitigating the main threats to selected taxa and assemblages, through development and management of strategic conservation projects, operational planning, implementation and reporting and improvement.

Location: Floreat (Perth)

Salary/Conditions: $72,929-$79,831 (pro rata) plus 9.5% superannuation;
part-time position (4 days per week); 2 year fixed-term contract
