W3 Professorship in Shelf Sea Ecology

We are searching for a scientist with highly recognized scientific achievements in ecology of shelf sea ecosystems. An interdisciplinary scientific approach and experience in maintaining and analyzing long term data series is required. The candidate should have in depth experience in management of coastal research in international networks.The position to be filled will coordinate the existing aspects of coastal research at the Alfred Wegener Institute. He or she will contribute to the development of coastal research at the CAU and carry out teaching in this field at the CAU. Apart from the scientific and management qualifications the appointee will be expected to have teaching experience and experience in supervising students.

Place of employment is one of the island stations of the AWI either Sylt or Helgoland.

Teaching obligations amount to two hours per week.

The position is opened with respect to Art. §61 and §63 Section 1 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.
