Description of Potential Work:As available positions are anticipated in multiple locations, with some positions in the US and some with Clinton Foundation international programs, actual roles and responsibilities will vary accordingly. More detailed responsibilities will be provided to the applicant at the time of interview. In general, responsibilities may include: - Planning and executing specific programmatic initiatives
- Coordinating efforts with the CCI partners, and identifying and establishing additional public, private, and nonprofit sector partnerships as appropriate
- Providing technical assistance
- Developing training programs
- Researching cost-benefit analysis for projects or programs
- Researching potential areas of development as well as potential partners
Qualifications:- All candidates should have a demonstrated commitment to addressing climate change and to working towards more sustainable economic development.
- All candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, professional environment, have strong interpersonal skills, good analytical ability and be able to adapt to foreign environments.
- Interest or experience the areas listed below are preferred:
- Urban planning and development
- Building efficiency
- Sustainable transportation
- Lighting
- Solid waste management
- Water management
- Power generation, especially alternative energy
- Forestry
- Useful technical skills include but are not limited to:
- Mechanical and civil engineering
- Management consulting experience
- Finance experience
- Fluency in a language other than English
Available OpportunitiesThe Clinton Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers for the below locations. Fluency or bilingualism in the local language(s) strongly preferred. - Poland (Warsaw), beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months. Language skills a plus.
- China (Hong Kong), beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months. Fluency in English and Chinese a must.
- China (Beijing/Shanghai), beginning as soon as possible for 6 + months. Fluency in English and Chinese a must.
- Pakistan (Karachi), beginning in June or July for 6+ months
- India, beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months
- Egypt (Cairo), beginning as soon as possible for 6 + months
- Nigeria (Lagos), beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months

- Colombia (Bogata), beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months but ideally, a year. Bilingualism strongly preferred.
- Brazil (Sao Paulo), beginning as soon as possible for 6+ months. Fluency in Portuguese a must.
