Job Title:                   Volunteer Unpaid TRAINEE WARDENS for the

HAM FEN BEAVER PROJECT

[Two Fixed-Term Appointments 2013 – 2014]

Salary:                       These are unpaid voluntary positions.  Reasonable travel and other expenses will be covered and a generous training package is available

 

Based at:                  Ham Fen Nature Reserve

                                   

 

The Job:   Ham Fen isKent’s last surviving old species fenland.   Wild beavers have been used as a conservation management tool to restore and maintain this habitat and associated wetlands.   You will be responsible for assisting the reserves management team in maintaining, enhancing, monitoring and protecting the Trust’s nature reserves Beaver Project and the associated habitats.  The posts will be based atSandwich.

 

You: will demonstrate an aptitude and enthusiasm for wildlife conservation work and a relevant environmental qualification is desirable although not essential.  The role comes with an extensive £2500 training package and represents an ideal apprenticeship for those seeking a career in nature conservation.
