This fixed term (11 months) post is unsalaried but offers a training budget and travel expenses as outlined in the job description Job Title: Volunteer Trainee Nature Reserves Warden – Sevenoaks andWest Kent Closing Date: 29th July 2013 Interview Date: 7th August 2013 Based at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve (Bradbourne Vale Road, Sevenoaks TN13 3DH, Kent) and working on 10 other West Kent Reserves. The Job: you will assist the West Kent Reserves team with general reserves management including working with/leading volunteers, assisting with surveys and monitoring, working with stock graziers and Trust livestock. You will also be involved with publicity and promotion of the Trust. You will be studying for, or have completed, an HND/degree or equivalent in countryside management or have a proven interest in the environment and be actively seeking employment in this field. The post comes with an extensive training and expenses package of up to £2,500 and represents an ideal apprenticeship for those seeking a career in nature conservation. Results? The scheme has been running for several years now and many of the trainees have successfully found paid employment at the end of the traineeship.
