TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

(Part-time: 3 days per week)

 

This fixed term (up to 11 months) post is unsalaried but offers a training budget and travel expenses as outlined in the job description

 

Job Title:                   Volunteer Trainee Livestock Assistant

 

Closing Date:      Monday 5th August 2013 at5pm

 

Interview Date:     Wednesday 14th August 2013

 

Based at Tyland Barn Visitor Centre, Sandling, Maidstone, Kent.

 

The Job:  Under the guidance of KWT staff you will assist with managing the Trust’s livestock, working with landowners and livestock graziers to deliver conservation grazing. You will work alongside other reserves staff and volunteers. This is a rare opportunity to be part of an exciting project.

 

You: will be undertaking or will have recently completed an HND/degree in countryside management or equivalent, or a proven interest in the environment, and be actively seeking engagement in this field. A full clean driving licence is essential. You will have a mature approach and the ability to communicate effectively with the public, together with the ability to work on your own initiative and willingness to undertake outdoor work in all weather conditions.
