This project is looking for a student or graduate to lead a study on a population of plains zebra in a small community wildlife reserve. The assignment would include setting up a basic methodology for a population survey, conducting the survey and setting up a database with an overview and identification of all the herds. Besides conducting the population survey, the project would like the candidate to conduct the re-integration of a young adolescent mare back into the population who was removed from the reserve following an injury that required medical treatment. This position is for a maximum of 3 months, starting latest by the 1st of July, 2013.
The volunteer research assistant receives free accommodation but is responsible for his/her own food.
