Description
The project provides the opportunity to contribute to the conservation of protected areas in Colombia (59 protected areas covering different ecosystems).
Volunteers support the conservation process by performing activities such as: species monitoring and research; prevention, control and surveillance; climate data logging; trail maintenance; guidance and environmental interpretation for visitors. There are opportunities for volunteers of different profiles and professions.
Being a Volunteer Park Ranger is an experience of a lifetime and the training that it provides generates an awareness of the biological and cultural diversity of Colombia. Participation as a Volunteer Park Ranger will provide a unique insight into the way the country manages the conservation of its natural resources.
Volunteers receive free accommodation within the protected areas but cover their own food costs (minimal).
