Description

CDP is offering a volunteer internship opportunity to support its global climate change efforts working with the Supply Chain team.

The position will entail supporting the team, company profiling, and the improvement of system processes. It will also focus on data collection processes and data analysis.

This position offers valuable experience of working in an office environment and evaluating and altering business processes to improve them. Candidates should possess the ability to analyze data and think innovatively.

Main responsibilities

  •  Reading company disclosures from 2011 and 2012 to gain insight into current trends and practices in climate change management and disclosure
  • Using CDP in-house data analysis software to analyze global carbon, water and strategy data
  • Development of supplier profiles

Requirements

  • A strong interest in the environmental and sustainability agenda of the corporate world
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and client relationship programs, such as CRM
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while aligning work with other team members
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A good degree in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

The successful candidate will work 3 days per week from CDP’s London office, with scope to extend this to a 5 day week, if desired. The position is unpaid, however lunch and travel expenses within London will be reimbursed. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
