Description

This nature reserve was created to protect the land from deforestation. There are 900 hectares of mountains, lush native forests, rivers, and beautiful hills. There are many different kinds of animals present including foxes, squirrels and pumas.

The project welcomes international volunteers interested in collaborating with the growth and maintenance of the natural reserve and organic garden (trail building, creating walkways, gardening, construction work, general maintenance, etc). Volunteers are expected to work four hours in the mornings from Monday to Saturday.

In the afternoons volunteers are free to enjoy the nature reserve or simply lay in a hammock with a good book. The reserve has more than 15km of well marked and maintained trails through forests and rivers, allowing the opportunity to see a variety of indigenous flora and fauna. This is a great spot for bird lovers.

Volunteers receive free lodging in exchange for their work and discounted food (approx. £50 per week). The food is 100% vegetarian and mostly prepared with fresh and organic products from the garden.
