This project is seeking to six volunteer field workers for the 2014-2015 field season, between late April 2014 and late January 2015. A range of 3-6 month volunteer positions are available over this period. The fieldwork will primarily involve daily monitoring of baboon troops on foot, collecting behavioural data from individually recognisable animals and their associated ecological conditions. Research over this field season will focus on three themes: sexual coercion and conflicts over reproduction; social networks and information transfer; climate, behaviour, and host-parasite dynamics. Successful applicants will specialise in one of these three research areas, as well as contributing to the wider long-term study. The deadline for applications is Monday 6th January, 2014.
Volunteers receive free accommodation, food and insurance.
