Position starts on May 15, 2011 with a minimum of 6 month commitment. Description: The major role in this position is to assist in organizing the day to day running of the programs in the local schools and assist to manage our team of international volunteers (max 20). As the second community staff, you are responsible to assist the other staff in running the programs in Quepos. Responsibilities include assisting in Health & Safety management and implementation, organizing program logistics, volunteer management, compiling program reports and growing the projects within the community. This position reports to the program coordinator and the country director. Qualifications required: Applicants must have a solid level of Spanish and must not be afraid to use it. All communication in the community and with the children is in Spanish! Highly desired: Environmental Education experience desirable but not compulsory if willing to learn Conditions: Long term contract is subject to succesful 4 week paid trial period in country. In field food and accommodation is included. Staff to provide transport to project site and personal medical insurance, including air evacuation & repatriation.
