Description
This wildlife sanctuary in Costa Rica provides care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife, and then releases them back into the wild. Facilities include a non-primate / quarantine habitat, enclosed habitats that encompass trees, and an open canopy habitat.
This project is looking for help with animals and activities within the sanctuary. Volunteer duties include maintenance of monkey habitats, preparing and distributing food to animals, greenhouse/nursery maintenance, and assisting with construction work. A minimum commitment of one month is required.
This project provides the opportunity to learn Spanish through immersion.
Volunteers receive free accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Basic breakfast provisions will be provided. There is a one-off contribution of US$100 toward utilities (electricity, Wi-Fi, etc).
