Opportunity Overview: The Institute of Zoology, the research arm of the Zoological Society of London, affiliated to University College London, invites applications for an intern. The volunteer will join a team running a field course entitled Interventions in Wild Animal Health in India in 2016, in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh and the Wildlife Institute of India.
Experience in wild animal health or biology is essential. Candidates should ideally have outstanding attention to detail, creativity and excellent communication and information technology skills, and an undergraduate or Masters level degree in biology, health, conservation, technology, or education.
The volunteering opportunity is available from August 2015 and is for 6 months in the first instance. The role is ideally three to four days per week and is based within ZSL’s Institute of Zoology in Regent’s Park, London. Candidates should ideally live within easy daily reach of ZSL Institute of Zoology. All applicants must be able to show that they have permission to work in the UK.
Please note that this is a voluntary position. However, ZSL will reimburse travel costs from within the Greater London area (up to the equivalent of a weekly zone 1-6 travel card) and up to £5 per volunteering day for lunch.
