They seek an target-focused energetic leader with a track record in managing cross-functional teams to develop and construct solar PV power plants. The Vice President of Solar Construction will manage existing projects in various stages plus new projects from inception to construction. They will provide commercial contract oversight for the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) management for multi megawatt solar power plants throughout the US. The Vice President of Solar Construction will be responsible for preparing budgets, contracts and term sheets for the long term operations and maintenance of the facilities. The Vice President, Solar Construction, is responsible for planning, directing, and implementing solar energy construction projects and processes in a timely, safe and environmentally conscious manner, in order to maintain and improve competitive position and profitability A. $175K-$230K+Bonus
My client is a industry-leading EPC firm specializing in the design and construction of clean energy facilities.

They seek an target-focused energetic leader with a track record in managing cross-functional teams to develop and construct solar PV power plants. The Vice President of Solar Construction will manage existing projects in various stages plus new projects from inception to construction. They will provide commercial contract oversight for the Engineering Procurement & Construction (EPC) management for multi megawatt solar power plants throughout the US. They will be responsible for preparing budgets, contracts and term sheets for the long term operations and maintenance of the facilities. They will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing solar energy construction projects and processes in a timely, safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Responsibilities:-
- Member of leadership team involved in setting strategic goals for the organization 
- Member of leadership team involved in setting strategic goals for the organization and responsible for establishing project management practices to best meet the organization`s strategy
- Manage the project development team responsible for the development and construction of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects
- Negotiate EPC contracts for multi-megawatt solar PV plants
- Due Diligence relating to specific projects, potential contractors and new projects
- Participating in the draw up of bid documents and contracts
- Provide input to business development and estimating group related to solar projects
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to Project Managers and staff on construction sites
- Plan, organize and assign projects management staff to accommodate the specific project requirements
- Responsible for project and risk management related to the execution of solar projects
- Manage and negotiate long-term contracts with partners, vendors, Legal teams and customers
- Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, other work units, local representatives, subcontractors, unions and other stakeholders
- Analyze and monitor spending versus schedule, performance versus budget, and makes course corrections as required
- Ensure corporate/project policies and procedures are followed and make recommendations for optimization of these to the leadership team
- Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety; which requires observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, holding people accountable for safe work behaviours, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behaviours which may lead to accidents

Education:-
- Strong educational background, undergraduate degree in engineering and/or business related field

Core Requirements:-
- Minimum 2-5 years experience solar experience, with a proven track record in the development and construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction. Experience with self-performing projects preferred. 
- Proven ability to establish and implement strategic plans and organization vision and mission.
- Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving and organizational skills.
