The HelioPower Energy Finance group manages the HelioPower finance programs, and finances, owns and operates a portfolio of solar and integrated energy assets.

Description:

The Vice President of Project Finance drives all project finance-related activities for HelioPower’s Energy Finance group. This includes driving project finance strategy and outreach to investors, structuring and leading fundraising for HelioPower’s captive capital initiatives, and managing and building the HelioPower Energy Finance team of analysts and developers. The VP works closely with the other senior executives to develop and drive business strategy around financing activities, and leads key outreach initiatives to the finance community. HelioPower owns and operates a portfolio of renewable energy assets, and the VP is responsible for the expansion and development of this portfolio.  The VP is responsible for the ongoing development and application of the HelioPower suite of financial models, and should have experience managing analysts and developers.  The VP Project Finance will report to the President, and work broadly across the HelioPower divisions.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and growing the project finance team and capabilities at HelioPower
• Raising capital for individual solar, biomass, efficiency, and other integrated energy projects
• Raising capital for captive finance structures
• Managing and expanding investor and banking relationships
• P&L responsibility for HelioPower Energy Finance division (fmly Helio Micro Utility)
• Working with HelioPower’s sales team and network to direct and drive the project pipeline

Qualifications:

• Smart, experienced, effective, self-starter
• Passionate about renewable energy applications, markets, trends
• 15 years of finance experience
• 3-5 years of successful “rainmaking”, raising capital for comparable projects
• Sophisticated understanding of current financial instruments in the market
• Established network of investor relationships, especially with tax-advantaged investors
• Able and willing to build strong new ties to relevant investor groups
• Experience with tax-oriented investing a strong plus
• Superior modeling, and modeler management capabilities
• Cleantech industry experience a strong plus, but not required.
