Mission of the Jane Goodall Institute: The Jane Goodall Institute’s mission is to inspire and empower people to take informed, compassionate action to make the world a better place for people, animals and the environment.
Position Summary The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) is seeking a Vice President of Development and Marketing. Reporting to JGI’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Vice President will be part of an existing team of dedicated fundraising professionals. The Vice President will develop and execute strategies and multi-year objectives to secure funding from individuals and from corporate and foundation donors and will ideally bring a depth of experience in these areas. In addition to managing the development team, this individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a portfolio of relationships and will be expected to have the capacity and experience to secure sufficient funding to meet JGI’s ambitious fundraising goals. The Vice President will also work collaboratively with the CEO, the development team, and the senior management team to create and execute integrated fundraising and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a cooperative environment and be flexible, energetic, positive and creative.
