Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all commercial activities within the business, activities will include, from building and maintaining relationships, negotiating key contracts and providing management to internal groups.
Responsibilities:
- Establish key relationships with utilities as well as maintaining current relationships
- Coordinating the preparation of commercial proposals
- Identify new customers by understanding customer needs through examining market trends
- Analyse the impact of PRS market rules on future projects
- Manage the development of project pricing strategies
- Prepare responses to RFPs
- Develop and maintain key relationships with utilities and power purchasers
- Analyze the impact of current and potential national RPS market rules on near-term projects
- Examine market trends and identify new customers and customer needs
- Analyze Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) opportunities for near-term projects
- Lead / participate in PPA negotiations
- Undertake Power market research for strategic planning
Education:
Strong Bachelors level degree or above
Core Requirements:-
- Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience
- Proven ability to close energy contracts
- In depth understanding of current renewable energy markets
- Understanding of regulatory processes , purchase agreements and electric transmission
